APARTMENT IN PARIS. RUE JACOB, 6e
Location
Rue Jacob is located in the fashionable St. Germain des Pres, one block from the Seine, on the left
bank. The street is in the heart of the art gallery and antique district, and offers a superb location to
explore Paris. The Louvre, Musee d"Orsay, Musee Rodin, Musee Maillol etc. are just a short stroll
away. As are some of the finest cafés, restaurants and boutiques in the city.
Description
50 Rue Jacob is a typical 18th century building in this historic part of Paris. But the apartment is
atypical, comprising an “L” shape around the courtyard, with a series of French doors and full height
windows accessing the courtyard and providing superb light. A small balcony with plantings runs the
length of the sitting room and bedroom. Unfortunately, however, it is a 5 floor walk up, so potential
clients must consider this inconvenience. While 5 floors is a healthy climb, it is worth the effort to
secure absolute privacy, calm and natural light.
The surface area is about 60 square meters (about 650 square feet). Although not large, it makes a
perfect “pied a terre”. It comprises a bedroom which is in-line with the sitting room. The sitting room
is open plan with the fully equipped kitchen. The other part of the "L" includes a den and the
bathroom.
The bedroom is equipped with a queen bed (two separate mattresses with articulated head and foot
controls,) and full length built in closets. French doors provide access to the small balcony.
The sitting room also has access to the small balcony via two sets of French doors. The sitting room is
equipped with a double sleeper couch, fold able dining table, coffee table, built-in bookshelves, flat
screen TV, internet etc..
The kitchen is well appointed and comprises marble counter tops, an oven with built-in micro wave,
dish washer, clothes washer, freezer, refrigerator etc..
The bathroom is decorated in grey marble, and faces east, which provides good natural light in the
morning (desirable if you need to shave!). It is equipped with a shower (no tub), towel heaters, hair
dryer etc.
Finally, a West facing den/office provides a compact working space which offers some privacy from
the main apartment. There is a single sleeper couch in the den.
Amenities
Broadband Internet access, both wireless and Ethernet. Flat screen TV with about 60 channels
including CNN world, and CNBC International (channels subject to change).
There are no charges to our clients beyond telephone.
Rates and deposits
Due to administrative reasons we regret that one week is the minimum period the apartment is
available. We are very flexible concerning rental periods which can vary from one week to several

A fully refundable $500 reservation/security deposit is required at the time of reservation.
Telephone
Guests are welcome to use the apartment telephone. Telephone usage is billed at cost from the
deposit, which usage is accessed directly from France Telecom. Clients may wish to use their own

As a courtesy to us and our guests, the apartment is designated “no smoking”
